Im Oktober war es wieder so weit: Knapp 40 Geophysiker:innen aus allen Unternehmensstandorten in Deutschland kamen in Münster, am schönen Hafen, zum jährlichen GEOTreffen zusammen. Im Vordergrund des Treffens steht die Wissensvermittlung und der Austausch.
Als die beiden Geophysiker Simon Gremmler und Dr. Jan-Philipp Schmoldt im Jahr 2017 das GEOTreffen initiierten, rechneten sie noch nicht mit der großen Beliebtheit des Formats. Heute bestätigen die Rückmeldungen zum GEOTreffen und die große, aktive Teilnahme den Erfolg der Veranstaltung. „Dass so viel Leidenschaft in das GEOTreffen gesteckt wird, denn es ist auch mit sehr viel Planung verbunden, liegt an dem tollen Zuspruch durch unsere Geos. Das motiviert uns jedes Jahr aufs Neue“, berichtet Simon Gremmler, der das GEOTreffen seither mit seinem Team in Greven organisiert.
Inhaltlich bot eine Mischung aus über 20 internen Vorträgen ein breites Angebot an Neuigkeiten für die Teilnehmenden. Die Bandbreite reichte dabei von einem Projektbeispiel über die Detektion und Bergung einer Flakstellung, über neueste Messtechnik bis hin zu den aktuellen Erkenntnissen aus der Forschung und Entwicklung von TAUBER. „Es hilft sehr, Projektbeispiele von den anderen zu hören und Probleme detailliert zu besprechen, wofür im Arbeitsalltag oft nicht die Zeit da ist“, berichtet Teilnehmerin Desiré Woitun.
Neben den internen Beiträgen konnten die Geos auch Neuigkeiten aus der aktuellen Forschung zweier Universitäten erfahren. Um den Schutz der eigenen Gesundheit ging es dann im Beitrag von Christoph Eisel, dem Leiter des Bereiches Kampfmittelräumung bei der BG BAU.
Zum Schluss dankte Betriebsleiter Simon Gremmler allen Teilnehmenden für die aktive Teilnahme, die anregenden Diskussionen und bat um Feedback. „Wir wollen das GEOTreffen immer weiter verbessern und außerdem soll auch der beste Vortrag 2022 gekürt werden“, verriet er.
